Epik1 became known around the local hip hop scene by entering open Mics and Rap battles also Performing at Venues such as Reggies Rock Club, Subterranean, Cafe Lura, The Shrine, Double Door, Jerry's, Mutiny, Metro, Lokal, Quenchers Saloon, Lillys, @North Bar, Redline Tap, The Pony, also many private events and other venues threw out the Midwest and the East Coast. As Epik1 continues to Gain Momentum, He has been an opening act too many major Hip-Hop Artist including Salt-N-Pepa, Naughty By Nature, ‪Rhymefest‬ ,Kids in the Hall,Tania Morgan, ‪Cormega‬, Binary Star, ‪Ras Kass‬, Killa Priest etc. Releasing His First Album Entitled EPIK1.0 which is currently available on iTunes, Spotify, Google play Amazon and all Major online Distributions. His Album is Currently Available in 12 major record stores in the Chicago Land Area Including Gramaphone's,Dusty Grooves,Reckless Records. Epik1 Wrote ,Designed,Mixed & Mastered his Album Himself. With over 8 videos on YouTube in which he did the video Editing himself. In 2019 Epik1 Released His Lead Single Music Video “Strangers In Space”. Epik1 has Joined National Battle Rap Leagues including “ECCM” and "No Coast Battles” and science then has stepped his Freestyle Battle Raps to Writing for opponents and is currently 4 Battles Deep on YouTube helping him Generate Hype and Attention Internationally. In 2017 He teamed up with DjsystemIV CoHosting and Djing on "Crucial Rhythms" on 88.7 FM Wluw.org ‪Sunday’s from 10 PM to Midnight‬. Within 2 Years He Has built a good repertoire with major artist Including ‪Kool Keith‬, ‪Masta Ace‬, Smif-N-Wessun, OC, AG, ‪MF Grimm‬ Etc. Transforming Crucial Rhythms to a Livestream & YouTube & Podcast International show. Epik1 currently released his second project EPIK1.2 that includes certified acclaimed underground artist such as Wordsworth, Kwest tha Mad Ladd ,Chino XL, Copywrite. Along with other Underground Hip Hop Legends such as Add2, Akbar, Sam I am the Emcee and others Local Chicago Emcees. This record has been so successful that it has been picked up in the UK and distributed out in Europe and worldwide with a major record distributor “Chopped Herring records” and has helped Epik1 transform this album into vinyl format.
